Company
SidePipe is a two-year-old venture that has been
capitalized by the founders along with a modest amount of investment capital
from a small group of investors. The Company's original products were targeted
at the dot com retailer. The SidePipe product was the successful outgrowth
from the original product family. Given the change in the economic climate
and the market's view of Tech companies, the founders were forced to "tough
it out" and complete the SidePipe product using their own capital and
resources.
Developed & Tested
The SidePipe product is now fully developed and tested. In fact, over 2,000
users have successfully installed SidePipe. Installation
is a simple process for SidePipe authors. Their audience simply uses a web
browser to view a WebPipe. Given the status of the product, the number one
risk factor of spiraling development costs has been eliminated.
Business Plan
In April of 2002, the company completed a business plan and began the process
of securing additional capital to fund their Sales & Marketing efforts.
With product development complete, the capital needs are modest. The intent
is to attract not only high net worth investors, but investors with experience
and influence in our target markets or as we call it "smart money".
Retail Target Market
The market we have focused our business plan on for the introduction of SidePipe
is the retail. "Interactive Marketing", "Page Pushing",
"Co-Browser" and "One to One Marketing" are current buzz
terms in retail. Personal Shopping Services or personalized delivery of information
via email by a retailer is a perfect application for SidePipe. SidePipe can
be used with existing web marketing efforts or as a stand-alone program accessing
any data source.
Focused Sales & Marketing
Under the theory that more new ventures die from strangulation than starvation,
our Sales & Marketing efforts are laser beam focused on retail opportunities.
While there are other exciting market segments, research indicates that our
retail targets want the SidePipe product and will find our ROI story both
refreshing and compelling.
